Hardy Boatworks was born from a lifelong connection to the water, the outdoors, and the pursuit of what lies beyond the next bend, marsh, or horizon.

Founder Jack Hardy Willson grew up fishing and hunting from the waters of the Chesapeake Bay to the bayous and marshes of Louisiana. From an early age, those places shaped more than a passion for the outdoors—they instilled an appreciation for tradition, craftsmanship, self-reliance, and the relentless pursuit that defines life on the water and in the field.

At just 12 years old, Jack taught himself how to build his own boat and assemble his first engine. What began as curiosity quickly became a craft. He learned by doing—building, repairing, taking things apart, and figuring out how to put them back together better than before.

That same drive eventually became Hardy Boatworks.

Founded as a small boat restoration and repair company, Hardy Boatworks was built around a simple belief: the things we depend on outdoors should be made with purpose and built to endure. Every boat restored and every project completed strengthened the foundation of a brand rooted in hard work, craftsmanship, and time spent outside.

Today, Hardy Boatworks is growing beyond the boat shop.

The brand is expanding into fishing and hunting apparel inspired by the places and traditions that shaped Jack—from the rivers, marshes, and open waters of Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay to the bayous of Louisiana. It is apparel created for fishermen, waterfowlers, outdoorsmen, and anyone who understands that the experience is about more than the catch or the harvest.

It is about the preparation. The early mornings. The weather. The miles traveled. The lessons learned. And the determination to keep going.

Because for us, the pursuit has always been the point.
